REGULATION/rules

ARTICLE 1 :

The 1001MI.SAV organizes from 16 to 22 August 2010, a Patent Randonneurs Mondiaux to gait free 1 631 km on a route through 7 (seven) regions, with no further assistance beyond that permitted by the organizer.

The 1001 Miglia Italy is regulated by the regulations BRM (Brevet Randonneur Mondiaux) and BEC 's body UDACE CSNAI.

ARTICLE 2:

- Conditions for Admission

The 1001 Miles Italy is open only to cyclists and cycle enthusiasts that:

- were born from 1935 to 1992 calendar year, regardless of sex,

- had a regular license 2010 through an A.S.D. affiliated with an institution or association legally recognized

- foreigners who don't have a regular license must have a medical certificate issued by a sports physician and a personal insurance R C

- all Participants must have a medical certificate issued by a sports medical center released after 02 / January / 2010, certifying that they are physically fit to cover a distance of 1631 km without risks and contraindications to their health.

- Standard for admission is :

- have obtained an approval in at least one of the following events: PBP, LEL, MGM since the year 2003

Or

- in 2010 have obtained the approval of a qualifying patent "Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux " of 400 km or 600 km, only one or the other organized in Italy or abroad, and approved only by ACP / BRM.

Registration

The number of applications will close at 300 cyclists.

Organization ASD.1001 MI. Sav. will accept the application of another 50 cyclists over the 300 limit who will be included in the over book waiting list and used to replace any cancellations by cyclists

The registration must be completed by filling out the registration form through the website www.1001migliaitalia.it

ARTICLE 3: Approval of transportation.

Transportations:

All the transportation are admitted with two or three wheels with a handle on driving and driven by muscle power through a transmission chain with use of the pedals. The transportation should not have a width greater than 1 mt. The triathlon handlebars and all types of extension cords are prohibited.

Lighting:

The transportation shall be provided with a proper installed lighting fixture , which must be visible from 100 m in front and from 150 m behind . The front light must be white, the rear light must be red. The lights must be firmly and permanently fixed on the transportation, during the day and in constant working order. For rear lights, the red flashing light diodes are Prohibited. It is recommended the use of a dual lighting system, using two of the following torch , dynamo or fixed diode.

Lighting shall be switched on from the sunset until the dawn, or when the visibility becomes insufficient, whether the participant is alone or in group.

If the participant is stopped for insufficient lighting or without lights, the participant will be authorized to proceed only when the fault is repaired, unless he has an emergency lighting system to reach the next checkpoint.

It is recommended that both the transportation and the lighting system be tested and approved during similar randonèe events.

Cyclist detection :

An alphanumeric plate will be sent to each participant ,to facilitate the monitoring of the transportation and to facilitate the identification of the cyclist on the course. The plate must be clearly visible and remain firmly secured for the duration of the event.

ARTICLE 4 : Inscriptions

Subscription to 1001Miglia Italy can be done individually from September 05th 2009 to May 30th 2010.

Cyclists participating using the electronic form for registration and should submit that. If the cyclist is accepted, cataloged and identified with a personal file N̊ The cyclist participant will immediately receive an e-mail confirmation notice and a list of documents to prepare and send through mail at the following address:

Subscriptions over book:

After the first three hundred members, 50 pre-registrations will be accepted, which will be put on the over book list.

Cyclists, who are placed in the over book list ,will be contacted by the organization to be inserted in place of any disclaimers. The contact, the adjustment and payment of registration will be defined on 15 June 2010.


List documents to be sent no later than June 15th 2010 are for the:

Italian participants

1̊) The front and back photocopy of the License Card for the 2010 year

2̊) The front and back photocopy of the receipt of the execution of bank transfer in €

3̊) Medical certificate issued by a sports doctor after the 02/01/2010

Foreign participants

1̊) The front and back photocopy of the License Card for the 2010 year

2 ̊) Medical certificate issued by a sports doctor after the 02/01/2010

3̊) A photocopy of the insurance policy

4̊) The front and back photocopy of the receipt of the execution of bank transfer in €


Subscription fee

Fixed: 180 euro (Includes : Medal + diploma + safety jacket+ pasta party at the end +12 refreshments+ 10 dormitories)

Optional: 20 euro (Includes transportation and recovery of clothes at 600km and 1000km )

Payment

Subscription fee (180 euro + any optional 20 euro) shall be paid after the 02 JANUARY 2010 and 15 days from the date of registration.

If the payment isn’t made within 15 days from the date of registration, the registration is automatically canceled.

Method of payment:

The participants shall pay through Money transfer from January 02 2010 and no later than 15 days on an account which will be communicate from the 02 January 2010.

ARTICLE 5 : Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation and refunds In case of cancellation of this event due to unavoidable circumstances, whether or not the organizer, the members will be reimbursed by October 31, 2010 only the amount of enrollment will be compensated. In the event that a cyclist decides not to participate, they will be reimbursed 50% of enrollment only if the cancellation is received before 15/07/2010.

A waiver must be supported by documentation attesting to the unavailability of the cyclist.

ARTICLE 6 : Equipment

The cyclist must wear a reflective jacket or reflective bands during the night or if the lighting is inadequate or insufficient.

The reflective accessory should be worn by the cyclist’s at the control at the start of the event.

During the night it is recommended that clothing be light and luminescent.

All the participants must wear a protective helmet with rigid shell for the duration of the MILES 1001 ITALY.

If the cyclist do not wear the protective helmet during the event, the cyclist could be disqualified from the event (see table Article 15).

The cyclists clothing must be decent.


ARTICLE 7: Itineraries and Controls.

Under the reserve 's permission to use the roads planned, the route is consistent with that described in the road book divided into stages TT with controls:

Participants must remain on the route established. The cyclist who isn’t on the official route of the event is not covered by insurance.

The participant is obliged to know and respect at all times, the regulations of the current Highway Code.

In any case and at any time the participant and his companions must follow the alerts prepared by the organizers.

The organizers could change the itinerary and the location and / or places of stage TT control mentioned.

ARTICLE 8 : Responsibility and Insurance

Responsibility

Participants must:

read and accept all 18 articles of the Regulation

accept ,follow and comply the requirements of the Regulation of the event and all the rules dictated by the existing rules of the road CdS

accept and sign the resolution of responsibilities before the start of the event

The cyclist, who is involved in the 1001MIGLIA ITALY, knows that:

- The event is an endurance and extreme physical event which lasts from 59 to 135 hours and the climatic conditions may be difficult (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain, fog, night ... ... etc.) The cyclist must be in very good physical and mental condition and not be subject to any contraindication on the course of 1001 MILES ITALY. Safely regarding his own body and psyche, to possess a medical certificate issued by a sports medical center issued after 02/JANUARY / 2010, stating that it is physically fit to cover the distance of 1631 km without risks and contraindications for his health,and hold harmless the organization.

- For the duration of 1001 MILES ITALY every athlete is always responsible for bicycle use, and what is installed on it.

- Organization ASD 1001 MI. Sav. is not liable for any theft and / or breakage and / or tampering and / or damage to the bicycle of the athlete, as well as accessories, or other property installed or left on this, during the 1001 MILES ITALY;

- Even at the control points in areas cordoned off or defined, the organization ASD.1001 MI. sav. is not responsible for any theft and / or breakage and / or tampering and / or damage to the bicycle used by the athlete as well as accessories or other goods that might be left.

- Organization ASD.1001 MI. Sav. is not liable for theft or damage of any and all goods and materials (such as helmets, goggles, clothing, flashlights, computers, etc..) left on the bicycle used by the athlete, even if placed in areas cordoned off or defined, in car parks at places of control or refreshments;

- Each rider is responsible and must ensure that the placement of bicycle in parking areas or at places of refreshment or control, including barriers , is stable and not likely to cause damage to other bicycle or structures and the organization ASD. 1001 MI. sav. Is not liable and not liable for accidents caused by an unsuitable location, not stable and / or otherwise provoking any kind of damage;

- Organization ASD.1001 MI. Sav. is not liable and not responsible for any damage caused to the athlete, the bicycle used by him and its accessories from the site infrastructure or facilities in places of refreshments or control;

Insurance:

The cyclists are required to hold for the year 2010 of a personal insurance policy through the ASD which are card-carrying or possessing for the year 2010 an individual insurance personnel.

The damages that might be the bicycle or the equipment of the participant in case of fall or theft are paid entirely by the cyclists participating. Organizer ASD.1001MI.SAV is not responsible under any circumstances.

In any place, the monitoring of goods or personal items given to participants. .001 MI.SAV the DDA can’t be held responsible in case of loss or theft.

Expenses due to the return to the starting point, are incurred by participants and are not charged to the organization ASD.1001MI.SAV.

Foreign cyclists are required to sign and produce individual personal insurance to cover the costs of care and return to their countries of residence in case of injury or hospitalization.

ARTICLE 9: travel card and alphanumeric identification plate frame and badget

Each participant will received a travel card at the departure and alphanumeric identification plate which must fixed rigidly to the frame. He will keep it and be responsible for it.

The travel card and alphanumeric identification plate must be always with the rider. The rider must show the travel card and have it recorded every checkpoint official or secret. The loss of the travel card, the lack of a single visa of a control fixed or secret, a visa or irregular incomplete control prevented the approval of the patent.

The badget must be presented at the start and at the checkpoints. This instrument is necessary to identify in real time the position of the rider through electronic information.

The delivery of the control chart showing the transition from all the checkpoints defined and secrets is necessary for the final approval of the event.

ARTICLE 10 : Control before departure

Cyclists at this control must show:

your cycling identification with the number alphanumeric identification plate applied to the frame rigidly

ARTICLE 11 : Opening and closing checks

The opening of the final inspection on arrival to NERVIANO , will be made only after 60 hours and not earlier than 09.00 am of Thursday, August 19, 2010

If the cyclist fails to locate the control, the rider could justify the shift in the location indicated with a receipt which is showing the country the day, the time of passage in the city where is .

ARTICLE 12 : Approval, Withdrawals, and out of time

All participants, whose patent is regularly carried out, will receive a diploma custom imprinted with the official time, and this will be the total of any penalties included.

The diploma will be issued with the medal by two hours after the rider has delivered the control chart

- Withdrawals

The participant who withdraws is required to notify the organization 1001MI ASD. Sav within four hours after withdrawal.

ARTICLE 13 : Medical

ARTICLE 14 : Car care

All forms of assistance on the official route are prohibited for participatinjg cyclists.

The assistance is provided only in places of stage T.T. from control Colorno to Castellania.

Cyclists participants who wish to have a car of assistance should be reported at the time of inscription filling offer document.

Cyclists participants must complete and sign jointly with the driver of the vehicle, the document prepared and attach photocopy of insurance of the vehicle.

Cyclists participants are required to indicate major control at which they wish to receive assistance.

Cars care must carry a different route from that of the participating cyclists to reach the control except any exemptions granted by the organization.

ARTICLE 15 : Penalty - complaints

The ASD 1001MI.Sav organizer reserves the right to refuse 's inclusion of cyclists participating in the 1001 MILES ITALY against a serious matter.

The A.S.D 1001MI.Sav organizer carry along the route checks through auditors motorized officers,identifiable by a distinctive sign. These verify the movement of cyclists along the route and possible infringements.

The breaches of regulation observed by inspectors motorized officers, will be penalized according to the table below.

Penalties will be communicated to cyclists participating, and possibly written on the travel card, either immediately, either with a notice to the next control, and will be applied only on the total time made. During the course of the event will not be applied to any interruption. Every complaint must be sent by registered letter within 5 days after arrival to:

ARTICLE 16 : Advertising

The participant cyclist authorizing ASD 1001MI.Sav organizations such as the person entitled to use the still images or audiovisual works in which the cyclist appears during the occasion of his participation in the 1001 MILES ITALY. This right is extended to all media of communication, including documents and promotional advertising throughout the world and for the maximum provided by: laws, regulations, treaties in force.

ARTICLE 17 :

ARTICLE 18 :

ARTICOLO 19 :

La ASD.1001MI.SAV reserves the right to change these rules and make the decisions that were imposed, in cases not provided for in this Regulation.

The ASAD.1001MI.SAV modify the conditions of the test as far as possible.
