STAGE 7 – Valleombrosa / Chiusi Montallese – 2016

A long and sweet descent leads us on the road called “Dei 7 Ponti”(7 bridges), the favorite training site of Gino Bartali, reaching Ponte Buriano, a town famous for the magnificent bridge built in Roman times, where the Arno River forms a lake that is the background of the church of Mount Rondine. Keep going along a valley where you can admire Arezzo city and its cathedral, directing the path to the famous “Val di Chiana”. This is the connection to Lake of Chiusi and runs along Mount Cetona, which is located around tourist sites such as Cortona, Montepulciano, Chianciano and Chiusi. In these areas you can admire the valleys from privileged point of view, called “Balconies”, which will leave unforgettable memories. The stage ends at the Velodrome of Chiusi Montallese.
